Grow a white 'sparkler' in your garden! This variety of allium is a late flowering one which grows a white/cream floral firework with dainty bell flowers and shimmering stars and and can look gorgeous in flower arrangements or your garden. This variety, in the ideal conditions can self seed and has an onion/garlic scent to it.

Carinatum ssp pulchellum f album originated in the Mediterranean region, Southern Alps, the Balcans and West Asia and is a member of the Amaryllidaceae family.

Also known as Keeled Garlic or Witch's Garlic.

  • Flower approximately July - August
  • Perennial.
  • Reach approximately 16" (40 cm) tall.
  • Plant approximately 12" (30 cm) apart.
  • Loves a full sun position.
  • Prefer a drier position (not water logged).
  • Suitable to rockery planting.

  • Make a good cut flower.
  • Makes a good dried flower.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
