Pollinator Friendly

Limey greeny/yellow bell shaped flowers form a ball shape about 2.5cm in diameter which still attracts pollinating insects such as butterflies and bees just the same as it's purple family members, with a twisty green stem which is quite attractive and an onion / garlic fragrance.

Said not be eaten by most deer!

Also known as Russian Garlic or Twisted Leaf Garlic.

Originated in Romania to Northwestern China and Siberia and is a member of the amaryllidaceae family.

  • Flower approximately June - August
  • Perennial.
  • Very hardy.
  • Reach approximately 24" (60 cm) tall.
  • Plant approximately 8" (20 cm) apart.
  • Like a sunny or part sunny position
  • Prefers a dry / well draining soil.
  • Good rockery plant.
  • A bulbous forming variety.

  • Makes a good cut flower.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
