This delicate flower is long lasting and a pale / rose pink star shape. It is a more compact allium variety, reaching only about 12" high, with a garlic / onion scent. It will slowly naturalise itself (without becoming a pest), it's simply delightful.

A great compliment to alpines and likes growing in pots as well as open ground.

Also known as Oneleaf Onion or American Onion as it orginates from USA (Oregan to California area).

A member of the amaryllidaceae family.

  • Flower approximately May to July
  • Perennial.
  • Hardy.
  • Reach approximately 12" (30 cm) tall.
  • Like a sunny position
  • Prefers a dry / well draining soil.
  • Good rockery or pot grown plant.
  • Most deer don't eat them!

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
