Our Feedback
Thank you very much for the wonderful gift of the rose Birthday Girl you sent today for my 90 year old cousin. She was thrilled with the gift and intrigued with all the packing but I said it must be a good Company to take such good care of her rose. Thank you.

RHS Award of Garden Merit

A really bright and cheerful, some would say simple, flower.

A relative of the common corn field poppy, the red flowers have a distinctive black blotch at the base of each petal which makes them look like the spots on a ladybird.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Flower June - August.
  • Grow to around 18" (45 cm) tall.
  • Thrive in full sun.
  • Prefer well drained soils - and particularly good on poorer soils.
  • Hardy annual though can prove tender in very wet winters.
  • Provided they are grown away from other poppies they will set seed quite true to type.
