Description
This makes you want to run your hands through it in Summer when it flowers with its small red/purple dainty, grass flowers that fade to auburn brown for Autumn. Needs a good warm Summer to flower well. The narrow, flat leaves reach up to 8" (25 cm) long. You just have to fall in love with this love grass!
Native to Southern Canada and North East Mexico.
- A clump forming, deciduous grass.
- Reaches up to 3 feet (1 metre) tall and wide.
- Likes a sunny and well drained position.
- Will grow in poor soil.
- Drought tolerant.
- Will self seed.
- Makes a nice dried addition to flower arrangements.
