Description

This fairly new variety of primocane raspberry is sure to please in every way!

The large conical fruits have a striking bright colour and are literally packed with juicy sweet flavours. Firm in texture, the fruits pull from their cores (called 'plug') very early, meaning these can be picked earlier with ease - and will keep well for longer.

If grown conventionally as a primocane these will crop from early August right through to the end of September, but this variety is also well suited to floricane culture by not pruning back any canes that did not fruit in the previous autumn - and these will provide large fruits as early as late June.

Resistant to Verticillium Wilt and Powdery Mildew, they also have excellent tolerance to Raspberry Root Rot; couple that with the fact they will happily put up with our ever wetter climate and this really makes this a 'must grow' variety that is nigh on impossible to beat!

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Primocane - produces fruit on first year wood.
  • Plant 18" - 24" (45 - 60 cm) apart.
  • Self Fertile.

This plant is protected by the Plant Variety Rights. Illegal propagation without a licence will lead to prosecution.
