This fairly new introduction from East Malling Research Station is, in our opinion, probably the best early season variety there is!

The attractive conical fruits have a wonderful flavour and a firm texture - which helps to increase keeping qualities (they also freeze well too). Malling Minerva has a relatively compact habit. Cropping starts late June and carries through to the end of July - highest yields being mid July.

Disease resistance is excellent.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Floricane - produces fruit on second year wood.
  • Plant 18" - 24" (45 - 60 cm) apart.
  • Reach 5 feet (1.5 metre) tall.
  • Self Fertile.

This plant is protected by the Plant Variety Rights. Illegal propagation without a licence will lead to prosecution.

Available from approximately late October / early November 2019
