Description

Bred in the UK, this butternut variety is perfect for the UK climate as the fruits mature earlier than Amercian-bred varieties - up to 4 weeks earlier!

The pale cream fruits have a rich golden-orange flesh that is very sweet thanks to its high sugar content. Average fruit weight is 1-2 lbs (800g-1kg). As winter squashes go, this is one of our favourites, and a variety that we have found stores particularly well.

Heavy cropping and reliable in habit, we really cannot recommend this variety enough!

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
