Description

This, regrettably, is seldom grown now which is a huge shame as it is an excellent cut flower and quite stunning for Winter flower arrangements.

A lovely colour mix including crimson red, pink, yellow, blue, white and purple blue. Colours are held fast and do not fade excellent for collage working and so popular in the Victorian era.

  • Half-hardy Annual.
  • Excellent for Cut Flowers.
  • Flowers July September.
  • Grows to approximately 30 - 36" (75 - 90 cm) tall.
  • Sow February March in seed trays and just cover.
  • Germinate and grow on under protection.
  • When large enough to handle prick out (transplant) into individual pots or module trays.
  • When rooted through and more mature harden off and plant out after the risk of any further frosts, planting 12" by 12" (30 by 30 cm) apart.
