Description

These white sweet potatoes have a thin, off white skin with a lovely white flesh. These plants produce the size and shape that you would expect from a sweet potato (just maybe a different colour!) in good yields and have an almost nutty, honey flavour to them. They tend to be slightly drier than other varieties. The green, heart-shaped leaves make them quite a picture as they grow.

This variety of sweet potato is rich in Vitamin A, E, C and B6 along with potassium. Can be extra delicious in pies and candied but similarly tasty mashed, roasted or made into chips.

This variety was bred from Beauregard in the late 1990s.

We highly recommend growing these under protection (so in a greenhouse, polytunnel or similar).

  • Required frost protection.
  • Like a sunny position.
  • Time to harvest approximately 100 days.
  • Plant 12 - 18" (30 - 45 cm) apart.
