Sweet Pepper Plants

Piquancy, crunch, subtle flavour, fuller flavour, colour and shape - our selection has it all. All Sweet Pepper plants are supplied in season as compost block-grown plants.

Grow on in a warm greenhouse or under protection, planting out if preferred once the risk of frosts has passed. Use Sweet Peppers as soon as possible after harvesting - unless you're drying them of course! More...

Sweet peppers are the sweet, milder and fleshier versions of their fiery counterpart, the chilli pepper. Sweet peppers can be long, pointed, flat or bell-shaped, and can be eaten in various stages of maturity, as green unripe fruits, yellow or orange just-ripe fruits or fully mature red specimens.

We've endeavoured to provide a selection of sweet pepper plants that offer the best-tasting fruits, along with great growing performance. All the sweet peppers that we sell have been grown right here in our nursery in Kent, and so are acclimatised to (warmer, southern) UK climates. Although we provide our sweet pepper plants in season, we do recommend growing them on in pots and under protection until they're well established, and until the risk of frost has passed... which can be as late as May in the UK! The warmer (and well-ventilated) the conditions, the quicker the fruits should ripen.
