Description

This makes a lovely collection of soft fruits that are perfect for both eating fresh and also for making puddings, jams and jellies.

What makes this collection all the more nicer is that all varieties are thornless meaning no pain at harvest time! Couple that with the fact these are all easy to grow and reliable varieties that are self fertile and it really does become difficult to find a reason not to grow these.

With the Jostaberry (a cross between a Gooseberry and Blackcurrant) starting off the fruiting, this is soon followed by unappealingly named 'Ly 654' which will consistently produce a heavy crop of juicy loganberries. Overlapping with the tail end of the loganberry's cropping, 'Black Satin' produces heavy crops of juicy blackberries that have a pleasant sharp flavour. Fantastic!

  • Self Fertile.
