Thyme 'Silver Queen', with its silver and cream variegated leaves and pale purple-pink flowers, could easily be wrongly though to as as a purely ornamental variety of Thyme. The reality could not be further from the truth as this is possibly one of the most versatile and valuable culinary varieties there is!

For the Romans, Thyme was synonymous with courage, bravery and energy. Medieval ladies embroidered a bee hovering over a sprig of thyme on the scarves they presented to their favourite knights. Bees love thyme, and thyme honey is much sought after!
