Our Feedback
Received my chilli plants last week. Very carefully and well packaged. Plants all look healthy, generously sized and a few extra than I ordered. They are all now in their pots. Looking forward to seeing them fruit. Thank you so much!

Wet & Mild...

With it being so mild, November sort of crept up on us this year; the leaves on the trees hadn't turned (let alone thought about falling) and even the nights didn't seem to be drawing in. Then the kids broke up for half term and suddenly we realised it was November the following week and time to think about Autumn liftings - crumbs!

And then, of course, it started to rain yet again - great, just what was needed for making lifting from the open ground easy! But a week or so later than planned we're finally on top all our fruit and hedging is out of the ground and we're busy with dispatches.

A side benefit of the mild Autumn is that the ground id still actually very warm. Plantings made now will still benefit and tiny and imperceptible root growth will be made before the onset of the real cold - meaning come the warmth of the Spring your plantings will be able to romp away.

For many Autumn is the 'end of the gardening year'; the reality is there never is an end of the gardening year. Whether planting fruit or hedging, or ordering seeds and plants Autumn is simply the continuation of the gardening cycle that cannot be limited to seasons or years!

Be sure to follow all our antics at the nursery on Twitter at @Victoriana_NG for daily updates and general banter tweeted with a grin.
