Our Feedback
Thank you very much for a rapid delivery!I have had a bad experience with mail ordered plants before, which were not good quality to start with and died within a week of their arrival but this time I was really impressed with the quality of the plants ordered; as the weather was not suitable to plant them, they have been sitting in my garage for three weeks now and they are producing lots of shoots and leaves and look really strong. They are worth every penny! I will definately recommend your nursery as I was so impressed with your service. It's a shame I did'nt find your website before.

Description

Gertrude Jekyll is a variety of Vinca minor that has small ever greenleaves with lots of small, single star like white flowers which is more compact with its growth than some of the other Lessers. Makes a lovely ground cover and is ideal for covering banks (that can be difficult to mow!) and looks good all year round, even when it isn't flowering. Quick to establish (but you need to keep the area weed free while it does so).

Easy to grow and look after with great results, what could be better!

Also known as Myrtle.

  • Evergreen.
  • Hardy.
  • Perennial.
  • Reaches 4" (10 cm) tall.
  • Plant 12" x 12" (30 cm x 30 cm) apart - that's 9 per square metre.
  • Flowers Spring to early Autumn.
  • Quick growing.
  • Suitable for growing in all aspects, including shade.
  • Likes moist ground (doesn't like to be too dry).
  • Area must be kept weed free whilst establishing.
