Available from - DiscontinuedA compact evergreen that likes full sun and a moist, well-drained soil. Winter Heath 'Mary Helen' has gorgeous yellow-gold foliage in summer, turning to bronze in the winter.
This Winter Heath has pretty pink flowers, which appear between February and April. Plants reach a height of 8 - 10" (20 - 25 cm), with a spread of 12 - 18" (30 - 45 cm).
Winter Heath 'Mary Helen' was introduced by Peter J. Foley of Holden Clough nursery in Lancashire in 1984, and named for his daughter.
Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
