A hardy, evergreen heath, reaching 12" (30 cm) tall with stunning purplish pink flowers December to February. Great ground cover, easy to grow.

Winter heath or heather that has a low spreading shrub habit with narrow, needle like mid to dark green leaves.

Racemes of urn-like flowers that open pink deepening to purplish pink in late Winter (which is one of the earlies of the heaths).

Makes stunning ground cover as it is low growing with beautiful flowers.

Native to the European Alps.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects. Thought to be left alone by deer.

  • Reaches 6 - 12" (15 - 30 cm) tall.
  • Spread 18" (45 cm) wide.

  • Likes a sunny position nut will tolerate light shade.
