Description

A delicious alpine strawberry that is especially loved by kids (regardless of how old they are!!) We recommend picking and eating immediately and picking regularly when the fruits are ripe.

Whilst the popularity of these delicious little fruits is only just building in England, they have been popular in parts of Europe for a very long time.

Will grow and fruit in semi shade from early Summer and will continue intermittently until the late Autumn, if you cover them with a cloche or similar you can extend their season.

Also known as wild strawberry, woodland strawberry, Carpathian Strawberry, European Strawberry or fraisier des bois.

These were featured on the BBC Great British Garden Revival presented by Alys Fowler - who came to see us in the Summer to talk about all sorts of berries, and this just happened to be one of her favourites!

  • Self Fertile.
  • Perennial.
  • Will throw out runners.
  • Plant 10" - 12" (25 - 30 cm) apart anytime of year except when ground is covered with snow.
