Hello just dropping a line to thank you for my plants, they arrived swiftly, in perfect condition and are now nestled in my garden...and due to the constant downpours, very well watered! Highly recommend your website, quality of plants, customer service and will be back very soon. Thank you again

Description

For a sunny spot these are unbeatable double and semi double large flowers in shades of scarlet, pink, yellow and white – these really are outstanding for display.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects. Said to attract hummingbirds, although this is unlikely in the UK!

  • Reaching around 2½ feet (75 cm) tall.
  • Repeat flowering. Our summer display, despite the colder nights, was still stunning in October.
  • Half-hardy Annual.
  • Prefer a fertile, humus-rich soil
  • Like well-drained soil.
  • Like a full sun position.
  • Excellent for cut flowers.
  • Flowers July – October.
  • Grows to approximately 2½ feet (75 cm) tall.
  • Sow March – May individually in pots or modules (as they do not transplant well when young) and just cover.
  • Germinate and grow on under protection.
  • Harden off and plant out after the risk of any further frosts, planting 12" x 12" (30 cm x 30 cm) apart.
  • Will self-seed.
  • Makes a good companion plant.
