Description

Grown as an annual, these actually produce a tuber.

Really stunning, seldom seen, cut flower producing flowers in shades of red, yellow and orange – all with a delicate row of matching or contrasting inner petals.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Half-hardy Annual.
  • Excellent For Cut Flowers.
  • Flowers July to October.
  • Grows to approximately 2 feet 6” (76 cm) tall.
  • Sow under protection late winter to early spring in seed trays and lightly cover.
  • Transplant into pots when large enough to handle and grow on (transplant all seedlings as some colours are more vigorous in the early stages).
  • Harden off and plant out after the risk of any further frosts, planting 12" (30 cm) by 24" (60 cm) apart.
