Our Feedback
Following an attack of cellulitis around my ankle, I developed a painful leg ulcer that was slow to respond to conventional treatment. Then I read the article on your site about Aloe Vera, and promptly ordered a large plant, which arrived quickly in excellent condition. No, it was not an overnight cure, but perseverance over a number of weeks resulted in a completely healed ulcer, just as promised. To guard against reinfection, I rub a little juice on the vulnerable area each night. Also, I suffer from contact dermatitis, and find the juice is excellent for taking the itch out of a rash, and promoting healing. My heartfelt thanks for the information, and for the super plant which, potted on into a large container and standing by my kitchen patio door, grows bigger every day. I will be recommending Aloe Vera to all my family and friends - definitely a 'must have' plant.

Blueberries

Now hailed as a 'superfood', the abundance of antioxidants and nutrients packed into each berry means that the blueberry plant has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in the kitchen garden in recent years. In addition to the many health benefits of its fruits, the blueberry bush's small but tantalisingly juicy berries are also a popular ingredient with cake bakers and dessert fiends alike.

The good news is that the plants – especially the self-fertile bush varieties – are relatively easy to grow at home if provided with the right conditions. More...

Great flavour, packed with nutrients and high in antioxidants –- what more could you want from a home-grown fruit? The blueberry plant supplies it all, with the added bonus that the compact bushes can be grown in containers, so even those with only balcony space to spare can enjoy the juicy fruits of the blueberry bush.

Blueberry plants require well-draining acidic soil to thrive and produce fruit, so it's necessary to refresh the soil around the roots with acidic compost (ericaceous). Your blueberry plant will also prefer a sunny position, need regular watering throughout the growing season, and the occasional feed with a liquid high potash supplement such as tomato feed will help to boost your plant's blueberry crop. Rainwater is naturally more acidic than tap water, so if you want to get the best from your blueberry bushes then you might want to consider investing in a water butt if you haven't already!

We've opted for varieties that produce what we believe to be the most flavoursome fruits, whilst making sure that the plants we sell also offer additional beneficial characteristics, such as high yields and longer fruit life – and even a self-fertile variety.

Our blueberry plants are supplied as pot-grown bushes, pruned and ready to pot on or plant straight into acid compost-enriched soil.
