Forthcoming Events At Victoriana
We are, of course, open six days a week throughout the year (see our Visiting Us Page for opening times and location map), but in addition to this we now hold special open days and gardening days from time to time throughout the year - giving our gardening friends a greater insight into who we are and what we do.
Totally Tomatoes
Date: Saturday 10th August 2013, 11.00am - 3.30pm

All tomatoes taste the same don't they?...No!
We sell over 40 distinct varieties of tomato seed - come along and find out what they (and a few others) taste like and see how they grow. At the same time come and see what we're growing this year here on the nursery, be it fruit, vegetables, herbs or flowers for cutting, and have a natter about your successes and failures with fellow gardeners - or one of us!
- Tomatoes - Over 50 varieties to view and taste.
- Chillies - Try the first few fruits of the year
- Advice - As always, the team will be on hand to answer all your gardening questions
- Children's Activities - bug hunting, colouring and other activities to keep your children busy.

- 15% off Seeds - July is too late to start tomatoes and chillies - but it's not too late to buy your seed for next year! And with 15% off our vegetable, herb and flower seeds for the day it's a perfect time to buy seeds for your Autumn sowings or fill up your seed box for the Spring.

Challock Chillies & Craft Day
Date: Saturday 28th September 2013, 11.00am - 3.30pm
Cost: Free.
We grow over 30 varieties of Chilli and Sweet Peppers from the sublimely cool to the ridiculously hot - taste the ones you dare! (with opportunities to purchase fruits of the ones you like - or seeds for sowing next year). If you are new to Chilli growing we will, as always, be on hand to advise on growing techniques as well as methods of preserving your crop.
- Chillies - Over 30 varieties to view and taste.
- Popcorn Making & Tasting - We will be cooking up home-grown popcorn throughout the day. Find out just how easy it is to grow and cook this gorgeous snack.
- Tomato Tasting - An opportunity to taste the last fruits of the year.
- Vegetable Garden - Come and see our working vegetable garden and gain inspiration for yours.
- Produce Stall - An opportunity to purchase some of our excess produce - onions, cooking apples, pears and even apple cucumbers (and don't forget those chillies!)
- Children's Activities - bug hunting, colouring and other activities to keep your children busy.
- NEW this year, we will also be holding a craft fair - more details to follow but if you are interested in having a table please contact us.
