Description

This old variety of blueberry is a real 'tried and trusted' one, and rightly so as it always produces a heavy yield of medium sized berries with a lovely sweet flavour.

With excellent cold tolerance and a strong erect growing habit this is an 'easy' variety to grow. Following the delicate pinky-white flowers in the Spring, fruits are ready to harvest from late July onwards.

Don't forget that blueberries not only count as one of your five a day but are also classified as a super fruit, so are very good for you!

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Harvest from late July.
  • Suitable for both open ground or container growing.
  • For open ground planting plant 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) apart.
  • Ericaceous, so will require soil or compost of an acidic nature.
  • To ensure good pollination, plant with one or two other Blueberries - ideally different varieties.
