Supplied as a potted tree pruned to approximately 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) tall including pot.

Produces very large rounded fruits with a good aroma and flavour - making it perfect for jam, jellies and wine.

Originating from Persia and Turkestan, Quinces are often regarded as intolerant of wetter soils; fortunately Champion is far more forgiving and will perform in all but the wettest soils. In fact Champion is possibly the most reliable of all Quince varieties, suffering from very few pests and diseases (though like other Quinces, Quince Blight can sometime be a problem - but can easily be controlled with a copper based fungicide).

  • Season of use October - November.
  • Self Fertile.
  • Grown on Quince A rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 8 - 12 feet (2.4 - 3.65 metres) but can easily be kept at a height of 6 - 8 feet (1.8 - 2.4 metres).

Supplied as a potted tree pruned to approximately 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) tall including pot.
