Description

This really is a pretty subject to grow - and looks no less out of place in the ornamental garden as it does in the soft fruit cage.

Through the Winter months the bare stems look wonderful as they are bright red and covered with hundreds of spines that make them almost look fury. Come the Spring bright green foliage appears which pales to an almost yellow-white at the time of fruiting.

Following a beautiful show of flower clusters of bright orange berries are formed which mature to a dark red colour - all ripening at the same time. The fruits are very juicy and have a gorgeous sweetness.

  • Harvest from August.
  • Self Fertile.
