Our Feedback
A really excellent website--full of interesting information and those fruit varieties which are so hard to source. Perhaps you could find time to list varieties which prosper in the moister west of the country? R. Ramsey. Dorset

Zea mays 'Strawberry'

  • Popping Corn.
  • Ruby-red rounded cobs are produced in abundance on this highly ornamental variety.
  • Once dried, the kernels are simply the best variety for popping!

Supplied as a packet of approximately 40 seeds.

Available from APPROXIMATELY mid November 2020

GBP1 or more £3.95 each
Qty:

Every Saturday after the nursery closes Molly, Milly, Mummy and Daddy have an early dinner which is followed by a 'film night' - and every 'film night' includes a big bowl of our home-grown home-popped Popcorn! What could be better?

We've been growing and popping Strawberry Popcorn for quite a few years now, and in our opinion this is the best and most reliable variety - and more importantly the tastiest and sweetest when popped - needing absolutely nothing on it.

The plant itself is highly ornamental, growing to around 5 feet (1.5 metres tall) and producing 2 or 3 rounded cobs per plant. When mature the ruby-red 2" (5 cm) long cobs look like large Strawberries in appearance.

Fantastic!
