After a stunning display of delicate pinky-white flowers a heavy crop of soft shelled nuts with a gorgeously sweet flavour are produced.

Very good resistance to peach leaf curl making it all but immune.

Will start fruiting approximately two - three years after planting.

Self fertile.

Grown on St Julien A root stock for an ultimate height of 12-15 feet but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8 feet.

Supplied as a bare root tree pruned to approximately 4-5 feet tall (including roots).

Top Tips For Growing Almond 'Robijn'

Almonds prefer a full sun position but will tolerate shade.
Being closely related to Peaches and Nectarines (you can actually eat the outer flesh in exactly the same way), Almonds flower on second year wood - so avoid over zealous pruning. Pruning is best undertaken after the tree has flowered and set fruit.
