Indeed we are creeping into Autumn, but despite what many say it's not Autumn until the 21st September - just as you can't have an 'Indian Summer' when its still Summer! But the mornings are cooler and, even in the middle of the day, the sun does not have the strength it did - so Autumn is on its way!
In the end what a fantastic growing season it has been, and now we can relax back a little whilst we continue to reap the rewards from our earlier efforts. That said, here at the nursery we are busy on production - producing young vegetable plants and ornamental plants for the Autumn and into next Spring.
In the garden its time to get your Autumn sowings under way. Its also a great time to be planting containerised fruit; the soil is still warm so the plants will establish before the onset of Winter. So relax a little - but not too much!
