Our Feedback
Dear Victoriana,
Just to let you know that I have received my tree (yesterday) It was left outside on my patio. I did not hear the courier ring the bell, so you will have no signature. My sister in Wales received hers a few days earlier. When I unwrapped it I thought you had decorated it for me, with all the shredded pieces of paper! What a good idea. We are both very pleased with the quality and packaging. Also the large buds already on them. We will both definitely shop with you again. Thank you so much.
Kind regards,
June Chadwick, Seaton, Devon
How many times have you grown your vegetable plants or vegetable seeds, only to struggle to find a use for your heavy crop yield? This category goes some way to helping you plan ahead to make a truly productive plot by providing a range of listings that categorise your vegetable seeds and plants according to their specific uses (the links to your left show those categories).
So whether you have a penchant for pickling, have a love for sweet, tender baby veg, or perhaps want vegetables that will thrive in containers, then this is the category for you! More...
Part of winning the battle in terms of growing vegetables seeds and vegetable plants is knowing what you want to get out of your vegetable garden. The planning stage of growing your own is vital and important, if you want a plot that is productive all year round. It sounds unnervingly simple, but what is just as important as deciding where everything goes and when, is what you want to grow, and why you want to grow it … and whether it's possible!
Whether you're growing veg to make the most of freshly picked produce, want to save a few pounds and pennies along the way, want to reduce air miles from field to fork, or maybe just fancy doing a bit of a 'Tom and Barbara' (or all of the above), then it's best to figure out first how you can make the most of your yields.
For instance, if you want to feed your family with your freshly grown produce, but only have a very modest garden size, you'll need to think hard about your growing strategy. That's where our Vegetables for Containers category might come in handy. Want the freshest, lushest salads on demand? Then our Vegetables for Baby Leaves category and perhaps even our Vegetables for Microgreens category will be of interest to you. Want to make your veg last throughout the year? Then perhaps Vegetables for Pickling should be your next stop.
In these listings, we've attempted to break down our vegetable seeds and vegetable plants into practical listings that will help you to plan, produce and, in some cases preserve, your home-grown vegetables to ensure that you get the most of out of your vegetable garden. All vegetables have been trialled and tested by Victoriana's own Shirley family to confirm excellence and make sure that only the best varieties get into our online listings.
