Hotting Up For Chilli Fest!
So the wicked Summer did finally break, which means we've had a chance to start to catch up on all the jobs we're behind on - it's amazing just how much of our time watering has taken up this Summer!
And so we are slowly getting back to something that resembles tidy around the nursery and, more importantly, have been able to re-commence propagation. It was the first time ever that we had stopped propagation completely, and so to see those empty prop beds each day was a pretty scary thing - but percentage loss was so high it really had got to the stage that we were just wasting our time! Now temperatures have dropped and the production cycle is back underway we can breath just a little bit easier.
But the biggest job for us all in September? Preparing for Challock Chilli Fest! With over 200 varieties of Chilli on taste this year and an enlarged area for stallholders it really is going to be the biggest and best Chilli Fest we've held! So make room in your diary for a hot date on either the 6 or 7 October - we really do look forward to seeing you all!
