Our Feedback
Just a quick note to say many thanks for organising the 'Fruit Tree Favourites' gift for my mother; she was so touched to receive the hand written Christmas Card with my personal message. This is my first attempt at purchasing gifts on-line since leaving the UK. Your service is fantastic - Thank You

Description

This russet variety originates from Sussex (so we believe) in around 1872 and has been popular since Victorian times (and continues to be).

The fruit is large, sweet, crisp and firm with a distinct nutty flavour with a golden russetted skin with red flushes and makes lovely apple juice or eating with cheese!

A high yielding tree that will tolerate cooler and damper climates (so perfect if you live further North in the country)

  • Grown on MM106 rootstock for an ultimate (unpruned) height of 12-15ft (3.65-4.6m) but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8ft (1.8-2.4m).
  • Dessert / eating apple.
  • Self Fertile - but pollination by another apple will maximise yield.
  • Is a great pollinator for other apples.
  • Season of use October to December.
