Chilli Pepper Plant Joe's Long Cayenne

Description

A lovely variety of chilli, which is basically a 'giant' Cayenne chilli. The fruits grow to 8" (20 cm) long - and sometimes even longer.

Maturing from green to a deep red colour the fruits have a lovely spicy heat which is probably a little below that of the conventionally-sized Cayenne.

We use these in our 'Dragon's Dribble' sauce, which we make each year, and also squeeze them into our Chilli vodka - lovely.

The plant grows to around 3-4 feet (90-120 cm) tall with a slender habit of around 2 feet (60 cm) wide.
