Description

A fantastic crab apple variety in every way Scented white flowers are followed by rich red fruits that remain into the Winter; jams and jellies made with this variety taken on an intense rosé glow.

Extremely prolific and heavy yielding.

Plant one or two near your apple trees, especially non self fertile varieties, to ensure good fruit set.

• Season of use October.
• Self Fertile - but pollination by another apple will maximise yield.
• Grown on MM106 rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 12 - 15 feet (3.65 - 4.6 metres) but can easily be kept at a height of 6 - 8 feet (1.8 - 2.4 metres).

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

Recommended by the RHS to assist in encouraging bats into the garden as the flowers are likely to attract moths and other night-flying insects which bats love to eat!
