Description

Dandelions have a stunning bright yellow flower, which as it turns to seed (which looks like a round ball of silver tufts of fluff) makes a great children's game, we used to count the number of times it took for us to blow the seeds off to tell the time! (if you allow the wind will happily blow the seeds off for you and it will self seed where it lands).

Often found growing in lawns or wild garden areas.

Taraxacum officinale was originally imported to America as a food crop.  The leaves are often used in salads are have similar characteristics to mustard greens.
