Description

Malwina produces large deep red fruits with a beautiful gloss. More importantly, the flavour is gorgeous and the sweetness is excellent.

The attraction of 'Malwina' is that it is one of the latest to fruit in the UK season (usually from the beginning of July into August) which means that when planted along with earlier varieties you really can have strawberries all summer long.

A fairly new variety of strawberry bred in Switzerland.

Plants are robust and vigorous with good resistance to Verticillium Wilt, Crown Rot, Red Core and Mildew – and also withstand rain very well due to it's large green leaves.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Self-fertile.
  • Ideal for growing either in pots or in the open ground.
  • Plant 18" (45 cm) apart.
