Received my latest order on Saturday. Rasberries were in within half an hour. Again I'm so pleased with all I've bought from you this year. Everything has been perfect. except my chillies which was purely down to my fault.

Brassica Plants

Order from our selection of brassicas and you could enjoy some fantastic produce that will provide you with good, home-grown food fit for a king through all seasons.

We supply a range of fully hardened-off compost block-grown brassicas that are dispatched from our Kent nursery and received in ready-to-plant condition – regardless of the time of year. More...

Our brassica plants are supplied directly from our nursery, as fully hardened-off compost block-grown plants that can be planted straight into soil.

Generally, brassica plants prefer slightly alkaline soil The ideal pH level of your soil will vary between brassica plants, but most brassicas' ideal conditions fall withina pH of 6.5 - 7. If your soil is lacking in alkalinity, then adding some lime along with well-rotted manure for extra nutrients and moisture-retentive soil conditioning is a great idea.

Most brassica plants have a poor resistance to pests such as aphids and slugs. We therefore urge our customers to protect their newly planted brassicas with the likes of horticultural fleece or debris netting. It's also a great idea to incorporate supports for taller brassicas such as Brussels sprouts, and heavy croppers such as cabbages, to avoid damage to the plants as they grow, swell and gain in weight. Unfortunately given the increase in costs (and the dreaded cabbage whites which do love brassicas) our range of plants is very limited (limited to the ones we can successfully grow and sell you with leaves that haven't been eaten!) We apologise for the inconvenience that this causes but we will not use nasty chemicals on our plants.
