Cumin Seed

Seeds are used in Indian cooking adding a particular zest and piquancy. You could also try adding it to a stir fry with our oriental vegetables.

A member of the parsley family.

• Tender annual.
• Reaches 12" (30 cm).
• Likes a sheltered sunny position.
• Prefers light, well drained soil.
• Sow in late spring in shallow drills 15" (38 cm) apart.
• Lightly cover with soil or compost.

• Often used in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking.

• Medicinal Uses.
• Can relieve flatulence, colic and indigestion.
• Can ease diarrhoea.
