Imagine a classic roast leg of lamb without rosemary, a pasta dish without pesto, or a mojito cocktail without the mint (Moroccan at that!) - in short, the subtle notes and nuances offered by herbs is, in culinary terms, almost priceless!

A little note to consider when planning the planting of your herb seeds - some herbs, like basil, are very tender, and will benefit from growing under protection in our unpredictable climate to protect them from the likes of frost damage. A small cloche or (if you're quite ambitious) a greenhouse or polytunnel can help to protect the more tender, sun-loving of your culinary herbs.
All herb seeds are sold directly from Victoriana Nursery Gardens here in Kent, and our seeds are carefully hand-packed at our DEFRA-approved packing station to ensure that you receive only the most viable seeds.
Angelica Seed
Great for using as a vegetable, crystallising, pot pourri, medicinal uses or flavouring your own gin! A hardy herb plant that looks just as good in the ornamental garden.

Anise Seed
Young leaves can be used in salads, stems and roots in soups to add a hint of liquorice. Harvested seed can be used to flavour breads, cakes and liqueurs. Half hardy.

Basil Seed - Holy Basil
A variety of basil sacred to the Hindu faith. Has pretty pink/purple flowers with green leaves and mauve stems, very fragrant. Also used in Thai cooking.
