Our Feedback
Thank you very much for the quick delivery of our Gardener's Apprentice tools. Our son has already been very "helpful" with them, and it has meant that he has left our tools alone - allowing us to get on in the garden!

Mint has a great history and has been used through many cultures. The Hebrews laid it on the floors of the synagogue, the Romans used it as a symbol of hospitality as well as for flavouring wines and sauces.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Likes a partial shade but will tolerate a full sunny position.
  • Prefers moist, well-drained, alkaline soil which is rich in nutrients.
  • Hardy Perennial.
  • You should pick the leaves before it flowers.
  • Grows more narrow leaves than other forms of mint.
  • Leaves can be dried and frozen.
  • Can reach 3 feet (90 cm) high.
  • We would recommend container growing as mint does spread!

  • Crystallize as sweet for decoration.
  • Great accompaniment to lamb and potato dishes.
