The herb plants listed in this category can be used to create your very own selection of herbal teas and refreshing herbal beverages. Whilst the various health properties of herbal teas are widely recognised, we also firmly advocate the use of herbs to enhance other refreshing tipples - mint, lemon balm and chamomile to name but a few! Whether you prefer a soothing or invigorating cup of herbal tea, want to add some zest to your evening cocktail, or simply want to decorate your homemade drinks with a pretty herb flower – for instance, the exotic flowers of the borage plant, or even a simple sprig of mint! - then growing your own herbs for teas and drinks is definitely the way to go.
Growing herbs from herb plants is so easy – just make sure that you plant the plugs in as soon as you receive them in the post direct from our Kent nursery, and water regularly but don’t leave the soil waterlogged. With all herb plant orders, we provide a free growing guide to help you grow the strongest and most profilic plants, whether you’ve opted for perennial herbs or annual herbs. Generally, herb plants are quick to establish, and as long as you have a suitably sunny position in well-drained soil, you should look forward to growing success!
Although our listing of Herb Plants for Tea and Drinks is by no means exhaustive, it does represent a good cross selection of what we believe to be the best varieties of herb plants available for this purpose. We have endeavoured to offer a variety of herbs that can be used in beverages, with some popular additions sitting alongside lesser-known, but equally flavoursome varieties.

Catnip Plant

Fennel Plant - Bronze Fennel

Feverfew Plant
A pretty plant that has medicinal benefits, particularly if you suffer from migraines or arthritis. Easy to grow. Use leaves to make Feverfew tea.

Hop Plant 'Challenger'
Produces a medium to large cone. Used as an aroma and bittering hop. Good resistance to downy and powdery mildew. Bred at Wye College in 1972.

Chamomile Lawn
