As a category, 'stem vegetables' comprises a large range of plants from all around the world, the vast majority of which can be grown with relative ease within the British Isles. Here at Victoriana, we have endeavoured to grow and supply a substantial range of stem vegetables, choosing only the best-tasting varieties with strong growing characteristics.
Whether you have a preference for Sea Kale, fancy growing your own Asparagus plants, want to incorporate the structurally magnificent Cardoons into your vegetable or flower bed, or perhaps just want some Rhubarb plants for the kitchen larder, you'll find all that you need via our website.
The term 'stem vegetables' actually refers to plants that are mostly composed of stems that grow above ground. For convenience, we have also included a few vegetable plants that aren't technically stem vegetables, but whose structure includes lots of stem tissue that can be blanched, boiled, sautéed and cooked, eaten and enjoyed in a multitude of ways, much like their 'true' stem vegetable counterparts.
All stem vegetables are supplied as live plants, ready to plant in quickly as possible once your delivery has been made.
