Our Feedback
Just to let you know my order of 5 plants arrived safely. I am really pleased with them as I have always wanted the more unusual plants instead of trying to grow from seeds but unfortunately I have not been able to source them within my local area. The service you provided was excellent, the packaging was sturdy, the delivery charge was very fair and they were delivered very quickly. I also appreciated that the plants had been watered well in preparation for their journey. Thank-you so much. Kind regards
Susan Lear, Dudley
Supplied as a pot-grown plant approximately 2 feet (60 cm) tall including pot.
Available from APPROXIMATELY May 2021The common guava, also known as Yellow Guava, Lemon Guava, Goiaba and Guayaba, is native to the Caribbean and central and South America where it is sometimes classified as a weed! A lovely exotic tree it has a reddish/brown bark, large green leaves and scented white flowers which produces delicious pear-shaped green/yellow fruits.
These plants are very slow growing when they are young but then speed up as they grow older. Fruiting time varies from plant to plant and can be a few years or up to eight. The flowers are pollinated by insects.
The wood from the Guava tree is used in Hawaii for smoking meat but also makes good firewood or charcoal.
Guavas are a good source of Vitamin C and A.
