Description

This very fast growing open-pollinated variety will produce a mass of small prickly fruits that can be picked and eaten in the normal way or, as the name suggests, pickled to make your own gherkins.

As this is what is known as a 'Ridge' type it is suitable for outdoor growing, frame growing or growing in a polytunnel or greenhouse. There is no need to remove male flowers on this variety.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
