Description

An intense flavoured, vigourous, perpetual variety of strawbery that is very popular with chefs and commonly seen in France.

The fruit has the flavour of the alpine varieties but is the size of a traditional medium sized variety and is a beautiful red when ripe and crops over a longer season than most other strawberry varieties. It shoulddefinitely be grown more in the UK.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Self-fertile.
  • Likes a sunny position.
  • Reaches 8" (20 cm) tall.
  • Plants 18" (45 cm) apart.
  • Can be grown in pots or open ground.
  • Fruits June to October.
