Description
This tomato is more like a 'plum' tomato, it has a very dense flesh with a deep red skin and a plum type shape. Fruits are produced on large trusses (about 3" (7.5 cm) in length).
De Barrao Paste is an excellent variety for making passata, paste, pasta sauces or juice as well as being eaten straight from the plant - simply delicious!
It is infact an old Russian variety withvigorous and reliable habit - and is one of our favourites, we highly recommend it!
- An indeterminate variety and best grown as a cordon (vine).
- For best yields stop at 5th truss if growing under protection (3rd outside).
- Whilst the best crops will be grown under protection, this variety can also be grown outside.
