Brilliant service fabulous plants, even though the delivery man couldnt deliver on the first day as I was at work the plants arrived on the second day and in far better condition than I have received things from the bigger companies and the plants you can see without having a magnifiying glass to look at them well done to everyone at Victoriana its a joy to place an order and when it arrives its better than Christmas.

Description

This is a variety that produces large plum tomatoes, some are an ugly shape, often oblong or almost square not at all symmetrical, however very delicious non the less!

An unusual novelty tomato variety, excellent for juice and pulping due to the density of it's flesh. Also perfect for grilling, 'sun drying' or making into purée, passata or sauces.

We're not actually sure of the real name of this tomato - but this is why we've called it 'Harry's Italian Plum'... A few plants were given to us by a Head Teacher friend of ours (Harry) - who had in turn been given plants by the school caretaker who had originally brought the seed over from Italy when he left in WWII as a refugee and had been growing it and saving the seed ever since. Due to how the fruits sometimes hang in two's, Stephen wanted to call it 'Harry's Plums' - but was out-voted!

  • This is an indeterminate variety and best grown as a cordon (vine).
  • For best yields stop at 5th truss if growing under protection (3rd outside).
  • Whilst the best crops will be grown under protection, this variety can also be grown outside.
