Erica carnea 'Golden Starlet'

Description

An erect evergreen heath with a neat, compact spreading habit, Golden Starlet has lime green needlelike 'leaves' in winter which turn to a bright yellow during the summer months.  It produces small bell-like snowy white flowers between December and May and is really pretty.  It will reach 4-6" (10-15 cm) in height but will spread to about 18" (45 cm) wide.

A cross between Foxhollow and Snow Queen, introduced by Kurt Kramer from Edewecht, Germany.

  • Flowers December to May.
  • Likes free-draining soil in a sunny or part sun position.
