Description
Strong-growing shrub heather that makes an excellent ground cover plant
Has a midgreen foliage with white buds that turn into stunning lilac-pink flowers, giving an amazing bi-colour effect.
It is thought to have orginated from the European Alps.
Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
- Hardy evergreen.
- Reaches 4-6" (10-15 cm) tall.
- Spread 12-18" (30-45 cm) wide.
- Flowers January-March
- Likes lime to acidic soil but doesn't like compacted soil.
- Likes freedraining soil.
- Prefers full sun but will tolerate light shade.
