Our Feedback
Hello, I chose your business as it is a family business. Very happy to support you. I am looking forward to receiving the Kiwi Issai plant. Just to let you know that none of the websites where you offer your promotion codes worked. But no worries, happy to support your family business anyway :)
With warm wishes,

Supplied as a kit consisting of 10 fence arms and bases, 250 ft ali wire, line tiers, earth rod and clamp, connection cables, energiser, electric fence warning sign, fence tester and (of course) simple digram instructions
Available from - DiscontinuedA heron can decimate the fish population of a pond in a very short period of time. Netting a pond (particularly a large country pond) can be impractical and look unsightly. From our own experience plastic decoy herons are not a reliable deterrent - and similarly some other 'trip wire' based heron scarers.
We have had this electric fence system here on our own pond at the nursery with spectacular results - since it's installation we have had no loss of fish whatsoever! (prior to this the pond was virtually 'cleared' by a heron and subsequently had to be restocked).
This kit has improved arms which are made from steel, covered with a protective black polyester powder coating with 5 insulated slots to allow conductors to be installed and aligned accurately the advantage of these is far less breakages (unlike the plastic ones previously supplied with the kit)!
Installation is simply a matter of placing black angled posts into the pond bank as close to the water's edge as possible and closely following the shape of the pond, maximum distance between posts is 6 - 8 feet (1.8 - 2.3 metres). To these you attach electric fencing wire and connect up to the energiser.
Once installed the 'fence' is barely visible standing approximately 10" (25 cm) high and so does not detract from the visual appearance of the pond. Any heron (or anything else for that matter) which touches the fence will receive a warning shock which is not harmful but sufficient to 'do the job'; similarly this is not harmful to domestic pets or other wildlife (or humans)!
