Many thanks for the plants I received in the post this morning. They were received in excellent condition and I now look forward to an improvement in the weather to help these plants grow. Once again, THANK YOU!!

Description

Helen Ballard was the 'Queen of the breeders' of Hellebores - known for the quality and wide range of forms that she introduced.

Grown from seed descended from these famous named forms, these plants produce flowers the beauty of which you will have never seen before. The waxy flowers can be 3" (7.5 cm) or more across and are produced in a variety of colours from dark purple to white - often extravagantly mottled and marked.

These truly are beautiful and we cannot recommend them enough.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Thrive in partial shade but will also perform well in either deeper shade or sun.
  • Prefer a moist but well drained soil and are particularly good on alkaline soils.
  • Flower from February - April.
  • Grow to a height of around 18" (45 cm).
